Travelling to attend the IRF in Zurich could not be easier. Most, if not all of our Radio Guests and Speakers will be travelling by plane arriving at Zurich airport. All guests are invited to arrive during the day of Wed 26th August, and to depart back home during the course of Sunday 30th August.
Your stay during the Festival is kindly co-hosted by Switzerland Tourism and Zurich Tourism. If you want to know any more about our host city or Switzerland in general, then we will be pleased to help you and/or refer you to one of our hosts staff who will gladly assist you further.
And when you arrive in Zurich, our welcome team, managed by our very own Daniela von Daniken, will be waiting for you as you pass customs, so please look out for her and her team holding the International Radio Festival sign. Once you have made contact, they will then escort you to your driver who, courtesy of Taxi 7×7, will take you the Festival hotel.
All our Radio Guests and Speakers who form part of the Festival & Conference are also offered complimentary hotel accommodation at the Festival Hotel, the four star FourPoints by Sheraton Hotel, in Zurich. The Festival covers the costs of its guests hotel accommodation from arrival on Wed 3rd until departure on Sun 7th September. Hotel & city taxes are included, as is a sumptuous buffet breakfast.
The hotel is only 7-10 minute Tram ride away from the Festival location at one of Zurich’s premier event, restaurant and club locations, the magnificent Kaufleuten, midst the city centre, minutes away from the equally famous Bahnhofstrasse and lake of Zurich.
From Wed to Sat, we offer our guests, and those attending the B2B Forum, a light lunch consisting of sandwiches, a hot soup and/or tasty pasta dish accompanied by soft drinks and coffee/tea.
- As is usual practice in four star hotels today, you will be asked to leave some form of credit card or cash security in order to cover any extras you may incur, such as mini-bar, laundry, long distance telephone calls home and so on. But your room will not be charged to you.
- If guests wish to arrive in Zurich before the 26 Aug, and/or depart after the 30 Aug, in order to spend some extra time in Switzerland, then this is no problem. Naturally guests staying longer would take care of their additional accommodation costs etc.
Last but not least, if you happen to be picked up by either Darryl or his personal team due to a late flight for example, then it will be in a MINI kindly supported by the lovely people at MINI Switzerland.
Want to test drive one whilst you are at the festival? Then just drop us a line before you arrive and we will organise in advance; and make sure you have your driving licence with you too!
